BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK

In the Summer of 2016, my family and I embarked on a roadtrip to the western United States. This was my first time seeing this region of the country, and given my love of the outdoors, I was sure I’d love it. After staying the night in Sioux Falls and driving a bit more west, we made a obligatory stop at Wall Drug for some food and five cent coffee before continuing onto our first national park of the trip: Badlands National Park. We didn’t have enough time to take on any long hikes, but we drove from impressive point to point taking in a smattering of everything the park was known for. The rocky hills were like nothing I had ever seen and the wildlife was on full display!
