THE DETAILS

Grand Teton National Park
Wyoming, USA
310,000 acres

Continuing our roadtrip out west, we left Devils Tower and headed to Grand Teton National Park. I truly think this place has to be in the top 10 of the most beautiful places in the country. After some aimless exploration driving around the park to get our bearings, we hopped on a boat across Lake Jenny and hiked the Cascade Trail on the other side. This hike takes you up into a valley formed by two of the surrounding peaks. As we got a few miles in, a mountain thunderstorm brought heavy rains, something we weren’t entirely prepared for, and we turned back to docks. I promised myself I’d come back someday and backpack the Teton Crest Trail. Until then, I’ll have to settle for remembering the beauty in the photos I took there.
