BACKPACKING LAKE VESUVIUS

Seeking a break from the routine of medical school, a friend and I headed to southern Ohio for a short, one night backpacking trip around Lake Vesuvius in Wayne National Forest. The loop we took was only about 8 miles long and can be done in one day quite easily, so this trip was more of a relaxed mental reset than a fast-paced challenge. 

As is typical for Ohio, the weather ranged from hot and humid to cool and rainy. We got good used out of our rain gear, but still had a great time! Below are some iPhone photos I snapped of the experience.
