MOUNT RUSHMORE

After leaving Badlands National Park, the next stop on our cross-country roadtrip to the western United States was Mount Rushmore. As we followed the winding roads leading to the Black Hills, I remember looking out through the trees waiting for the four former presidents to reveal themselves. Eventually, they did, and the first thing that struck me was size of the monument. Like most majestic places, pictures simply don’t do it justice. Even so, I hope you enjoy the gallery below!
