INTRODUCTION
As always, you can view the photographic narrative for this story below. What is a photographic narrative?
Before dropping Weston off at the airport to end our epic week of adventures throughout the southwestern US, we used what little time we had left to visit the Hoover Dam. I’d seen it before, but this engineering marvel was still just as impressive on second viewing. We drove over the dam, found a parking spot, and walked back across it on foot. After taking in the sights of this giant wall of concrete, the depressingly low Lake Mead water levels, and the occasional lamborghini driving by (must be a popular supercar destination), we officially ended this series of adventures with a drive to the Las Vegas Airport.
With the pace of life, I hadn’t taken the time to reflect on this series of adventures until writing these stories. But now that I have, I realize just how incredible and rare such opportunities are, made even more special in sharing them with a lifelong friend. Each of these experiences is now a cherished memory, and in aggregate, this single week in March 2023 will go down as one of my most epic weeks ever.
